Trauma-Informed Therapy & EMDR in Longwood, Florida

Life can leave us carrying experiences, emotions, and patterns that are difficult to move through on our own. Therapy can provide a space to better understand what you are experiencing, develop new ways of responding, and begin moving toward a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.

You don’t have to walk this path alone.

Reclamation & Recovery Counseling provides trauma-informed therapy for adults, relationships, and families, with in-person services in Longwood and telehealth throughout Florida.

When Life Feels Hard to Navigate

You may be considering therapy because something in your life no longer feels sustainable.

Maybe past experiences still affect how you see yourself, your relationships, or the world around you. You may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, disconnected from the people around you, stuck in patterns you understand but have difficulty changing, or exhausted from trying to keep everything together.

For others, the problem may be more difficult to define. You simply know that something feels off.

Therapy does not require you to have everything figured out before you begin. Our role is to meet you where you are, help you better understand what is happening, and work collaboratively toward the changes that matter to you.

Therapy That Makes Room for the Whole Person

At Reclamation & Recovery Counseling, we believe effective therapy should feel collaborative, respectful, and human.

Our approach is trauma-informed and individualized rather than based on the expectation that every person should respond to the same treatment in the same way. Therapy may involve developing coping skills, exploring patterns, processing past experiences, improving communication, strengthening relationships, or simply creating a space where difficult experiences can be discussed openly.

We also recognize that identity, relationships, family systems, culture, sexuality, and lived experience all influence mental health. Our practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink-aware, and committed to providing a space where clients do not need to hide important parts of themselves in order to receive care.

Our Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy provides a private space to explore thoughts, emotions, experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be affecting your life. Treatment is tailored to your goals and may include trauma-focused work, skill building, emotional processing, and greater understanding of yourself and your experiences.

Family Therapy

Families can become caught in patterns of conflict, misunderstanding, stress, or disconnection that are difficult to change from within the system.

Family therapy provides space to identify these patterns, improve communication, strengthen boundaries, and develop healthier ways of responding to one another.

Relationship Therapy

Relationship therapy can help partners better understand recurring patterns, strengthen communication, navigate conflict, rebuild connection, and explore difficult topics in a structured environment. We work to understand the relationship system and the experiences each person brings into it.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a structured psychotherapy approach commonly used in the treatment of trauma and PTSD.

EMDR may help clients process distressing experiences that continue to influence emotions, beliefs, physical reactions, or behavior in the present.

Taking the First Step

Finding a therapist is personal. Experience, training, approach, personality, and whether you feel comfortable with the person sitting across from you all matter.

Our goal is not to convince every person that Reclamation & Recovery Counseling is the right practice for them. Instead, we want to help you determine whether the services we provide are a good match for what you are looking for.

If you would like to explore that fit, you are welcome to reach out.
